Consumer Credit Continues to Trend Lower

The Federal Reserve reported that total consumer credit decreased in July at an annual rate of 1.75%. Revolving credit declined at an annual rate of 6.25%, while nonrevolving credit increased slightly at an annual rate of 0.50%.
