Stock Market on Verge of Intermediate-term Signal

| April 25, 2017

Last week, our computer models predicted the formation of a short-term low in the stock market. The S&P 500 index has advanced sharply this week, confirming that a new short-term cycle has begun.

Additionally, the latest short-term low has occurred within the window during which our computer models have predicted that the latest intermediate-term low is likely to occur, and we are now on the verge of an intermediate-term cycle low signal.

A close above 2,394 on Friday would generate a confirmed intermediate-term cycle low signal and indicate that the latest intermediate-term low likely formed during the week ending April 13. However, even in the absence of a confirmed signal, given the strength of the advance during the last 2 weeks, any close above the weekly open at 2,370 on Friday would indicate that a new intermediate-term cycle has likely begun.
